Relieve a heavy liver naturally with Liver Synergy for optimal health

Is Your Liver Feeling Overwhelmed and "Heavy"?

In today's increasingly toxic world, the burden on our livers has never been greater. With over 80,000 "approved" chemicals in our environment, and problematic dietary choices such as processed fats, sugar-laden foods / high-fructose corn syrup, alcoholic beverages, and an endless list of pharmaceuticals, particularly acetaminophen, (aka Tylenol), our livers struggle to keep up.

Keep in mind that the liver has a very messy and hazardous job. i.e., detoxifying highly reactive molecules. And if it's not successful the outcomes can range from fatigue, malaise, and a general feeling of being unwell, to being life-threatening. Among the body's normal functions, liver detoxification is actually one of the largest sources of oxidative stress. This is why the liver is so dependent on critical anti-oxidants like glutathione, (aka: “the master antioxidant”.)

Clinically Validated Ingredients: Crafted Into a Single Formulation

Liver Synergy supplement for liver detox and liver support

Considering the extremely long list of demands that our livers deal with, it is of paramount importance to proactively support liver health. One highly effective way to do this is with supplements designed to offer specific support.

To fulfill this need, Synergy Holistics has formulated Liver Synergy. A combination of five highly active liver support constituents, which all support or increase glutathione levels and/or activity, yet also have their own potent additional liver-protective qualities. As a synergistic whole these ingredients provide dramatic, widespread assistance and prevention for overworked livers:

  • A Full Dose of Milk Thistle (250 mg 80% Silymarin): Widely celebrated for its broad spectrum liver-protective properties, Milk Thistle helps to safeguard and regenerate liver cell damage, while supporting the conservation of glutathione, and exerting its own anti-inflammatory effects. Milk Thistle, (as well as ALA and selenium below), have all shown the ability to positively modulate liver enzymes.
  • N-Acetyl Cysteine (200 mg): Best known for its direct conversion into all-important glutathione, NAC has also clinically demonstrated several of its own antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects independent of glutathione, to enhance, protect and restore liver function. For example, NAC is commonly used in emergency rooms for preventing liver failure caused by acetaminophen overdose.
  • Schisandra chinensis (150 mg): An adaptogenic herb that not only exerts liver protection by increasing glutathione, but is also adaptogenic, i.e. it helps the body (and liver) adapt to stress. This herb is a perfect complement for an "over-heated" liver. (Interesting to note that in Chinese Medicine an "over-heated" liver is often said to result in insomnia, anger and frustration.)
  • Alpha-Lipoic Acid (100 mg): An extremely versatile antioxidant that both contributes to energy production and aids in the recycling of other antioxidants, yet also converts into glutathione and aids the liver in its perilous detoxification duties. Remember, your liver function also requires a lot of energy, and to keep both detoxification and energy production "running cool", and not overheating due to oxidation and inflammation, ALA can be invaluable!
  • Selenium (50 mcg as selenomethionine): As a well known antioxidant in its own right, and a critical cofactor for activating the glutathione family of enzymes, selenium helps protect cells from oxidative damage and plays independent roles in the liver's detoxification processes and protection.

Recommended dose: 2 capsules once to twice per day, preferably morning and afternoon. Note: Alpha Lipoic Acid taken at bedtime generates energy, and may keep some people awake.

As we navigate through the toxins of modern life, it is imperative to care for our livers, particularly when indulgences arise. By incorporating Liver Synergy into our routines, we can enhance the liver's ability to detoxify, ensuring it performs efficiently. Your liver deals with an incessant workload—partner with it, and maintain a healthy and functional body for years to come.

      Study corner:

Reduce liver fat accumulation naturally - Liver health tips

Why does fat tend to accumulate around our livers?

Due to a combination of the above mentioned toxic factors, when our livers are stressed or start to fatigue, they become less sensitive to the hormone insulin, and its normal effects of blood sugar storage are reduced. This is called "insulin insensitivity", and it can specifically occur in the liver. [1][2][3] In response, your body produces more insulin, because what it produced initially didn't work adequately. Being a storage hormone, higher levels of insulin drive fat accumulation. In turn, fat accumulation drives inflammation and oxidation...which worsens the original insulin insensitivity, and a vicious, feed-forward cycle is created. [3] [4] Note that as fat builds up around the liver, the levels of fat and cholesterol in our blood also tend to increase. [5].

Furthermore there is peer-reviewed evidence showing that all 5 ingredients mentioned above can be helpful for preventing and or reversing fat accumulation in the liver. See: [6][7][8][9][10]
